Sweet Dreams: Celebrating Eurythmics

Feel-good atmosphere with an American bass player and singer at RAVINEN!

While American bassist and singer Kristin Korb was a student of bass legend Ray Brown, she developed her very own swing style.

It’s about jazz standards with a feel-good atmosphere – both for the musicians and the audience. In recent years, however, Kristin Korb has also begun to include pop melodies in her repertoire, such as Eurythmics’ song “Sweet dreams are made of this”.

Last fall, her latest album “Sweet Dreams” was released, which is her personal tribute to Eurythmics, which was a significant part of the soundtrack of her youth. On the album, she gives her personal take on 12 Eurythmics songs.

Expect sophisticated and elegant swinging bass playing from Kristin Korb while she sings with a crystal clear voice in the style of Diana Krall and Eliane Elias.

With her this evening are two of Scandinavia’s best swinging musicians, the Danish pianist Soren Moller and the Norwegian drummer Snorre Kirk, who will be joined on stage by the saxophonist Karl-Martin Almqvist.
