In Between Music Festival: From Lasse Lucidor to Bruno K Öijer
What does poetry sound like?
From Lasse Lucidor to Bruno K Öijer
27 July, 15.00, RAVINEN Kulturhus, Båstad

This wayward and fantastic duo consists of Helena Ek and Peter Janson. At Saturday’s concert at RAVINEN, they meet another successful duo that has toured large parts of the world, the guitar duo The Gothenburg Combo. For regular In Between visitors, this is a fond reunion as the duo spread their musical magic here already in 2021 to a standing ovation. As if this were not enough, the festival’s artistic directors Stefan Klaverdal and David Härenstam also join for a premiere for this odd sextet!
During the concert, you will experience how it can sound when poetry and music of different times collide, enrich each other and perhaps even merge into something new, obvious and exciting!
Jazz and improvisational musician Peter Janson and Helena Ek, known for their interpretations of early music and folk music, present “From Lasse Lucidor to Bruno K Öijer”. Here we meet poems set to music by Lasse Lucidor, C. M. Bellman, Cornelis Vreeswijk and newly written music to texts by Sonja Åkesson, Lina Ekdahl, Kristina Lugn and Bruno K Öijer mixed with folk poetry and music.
In addition to the group’s own tours and concerts, the duo has collaborated with composer Karin Rehnqvist, flautist Göran Månsson and flamenco guitarist Afra Rubino.
