Experience a program that not only covers the songs of tango king Astor Piazzolla, but also a long list of famous tango composers! Susanna Levonen is a singer who manages to capture the essence of passion and melancholy in her tango interpretations in a way that touches both heart and soul. With a voice that is both powerful and nuanced, she conveys tango’s deep feelings of longing, sadness and love. Her performances carry an authenticity that takes the audience to the origins of tango, while her personal style adds a fresh and modern dimension. Every note and phrase carry a story, and through her interpretations tango becomes more than just music – it becomes an intense emotional journey.

Jens Lundberg studied with the Argentinian bandoneon virtuoso Juan José Mosalini at the Conservatoire Edgar Varèse in Paris, he has also studied in Buenos Aires with masters such as Nestor Marconi and Walter Rios. Jens Lundberg has performed both as a soloist and with various ensembles around Scandinavia, Europe, Japan and Argentina. His repertoire includes both traditional tango and “Tango Nuevo”, as well as music from the baroque and classical eras, and he is constantly expanding his repertoire with new compositions in contemporary music. Today, he is considered one of Scandinavia’s foremost tango connoisseurs and bandeonists.

David Härenstam is known for his successful concerts, for example captured on the internationally successful CD “Recital”. Among his many ensembles can be mentioned the Duo Sparf/Härenstam with the violinist Nils-Erik Sparf, which has released four records and performed over 160 concerts. David has also recorded a series of records under his own name that have been praised by the international press, and participated in recordings with a large number of musicians from the pianist Bengt Forsberg, the cellist Andreas Brantelid to the New Zealand singer Sophie Moleta. Härenstam tours as a soloist and chamber musician in China, Europe and Australia and is the artistic director of In Between Music Festival and Stockholm Chamber Music at Riddarhuset.
