Suggestive strident beautiful noise pop in Swedish. Beautiful cello melodies are mixed with beats, dreamy noise and desolate guitar loops. Cecilia’s dynamic voice and personal lyrics are the core of the music that rumbles, vibrates, rubs and pushes.

Cecilia Nordlund & Fullmånen Från Helvetet is a collaboration between singer and guitarist Cecilia Nordlund, singer, musician and cellist Christine Owman and cellist Åsa Gjerstad.

Cecilia Nordlund – vocals

Cecilia Nordlund is a singer who has made a strong impression in Swedish alternative music. She was the frontman of Souls and Monkeystrikes before founding the genre-crossing band Fullmånen Från Helvetet. With her powerful voice and honest lyrics, she has created music that touches deeply. She is also an appreciated pedagogue and inspirer, active among other places at Popkollo and Malmö Academy of Music.

Christine Owman – cello

Christine Owman is a versatile Swedish musician and producer from Malmö, known for her unique mix of dreamy shoegaze, post rock and psychedelic rock. She started playing the cello at the age of five and has since developed a sound that combines the beautiful and sensual with the raw and dark. Owman has collaborated with artists such as Robert Plant, Mark Lanegan and SoKo, and her music has been described as hypnotic and cinematic.

Åsa Gjerstad – cello

Åsa Gjerstad is a Swedish cellist and composer, known for her expressive and genre-crossing playing. Her cello weaves together beautiful melodies with raw soundscapes. Gjerstad has collaborated with artists such as Lena Måndotter, Moonbabies and Pelle Ossler, and her music is characterized by an ability to create both intimacy and intensity.
