Family concert: Young Peer Gynt
Young Peer Gynt
A musical fairy tale with classical music
An exciting and captivating musical tale inspired by Norway’s most famous folk tale Peer Gynt by Henrik Ibsen.
In this family performance, music from Edvard Grieg’s orchestral suite Peer Gynt is interspersed with a reading from Ibsen’s play, which tells of Peer’s many adventures around the world.
The children get to experience beautiful and easy-to-listen classical music with wind instruments at the center. Perhaps this will be the children’s first encounter with classical music and with the wind quintet’s instruments. The music is from Edvard Grieg’s orchestral suite Peer Gynt and we hear, among other things, Morgonstämming, I bergakungens sal and Anitra’s dance.
